shutterstock_32084191 (Small)Good news for consumers who are searching for affordable fuel efficient hybrids.  The new Honda Insight is the first hybrid car available for under $20,000, list price starts at $19,800 and estimated gas mileage is 40mpg city driving and 43 on the highway, it compares to the first generation Toyota Prius Hybrid that was priced at $30,000, even the price of the Prius has come down from the original Prius priced at $30,000 to the new 2010 model starting at $19,700  Toyota reports that the 2010 model gets 50 mpg combines city/highway driving.

With so many fuel efficient cars available today, the prices are getting more competitive and there has never been a better time to go green.
